Bill Ankerberg: Dr. William Carl Ankerberg is a frequent keynote speaker at Christian conferences, including the well-attended Exponential Conference held at Saddleback Church, Pastor’s Conference Speaker at Moody Bible Institute, Southwest Baptist Conference, Baptist General Conference and Bethany Beach, Michigan, among others. He grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois, graduating from Bethel College and Bethel Theological Seminary with a Masters in Divinity. He earned his Doctorate in Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Dr. Ankerberg was pastor in three churches in Illinois before moving his family to Southern California to accept the Senior Pastor position at Whittier Area Community Church where he has served since 1996. He is active with Converge Worldwide and is currently on the International Ministries Leadership Team. He is a Trustee on the Bethel University Board. He has been included in the Who’s Who in Religion from 1992 to present. As Director of the Nordic-Baltic Regional Partnership, he heads an initiative to help pastors and churches in Estonia and other countries in the region. He is currently writing two books, one titled “Thrive,” that talks about how we can thrive in every area of our lives, and one titled “Dave,” which is a contemporary look at the intriguing life of King David.

Arlie Ankerberg has been a member of Whittier Area Community Church in Whittier, California since 1996, when they moved from Chicago when Bill became the Senior Pastor. She is a registered nurse and director of Health Partnership, a ministry that provides connections to resources for health and healing in the context of our Christian faith. Arlie, having family roots in Sweden, is also the co-director of Nordic-Baltic Regional Partnership.

Helari Puu was ordained in 1985 and has been pastoring churches ever since. He served as the President of the Union of Free Evangelical and Baptist Churches (UFEBC) of Estonia from 1998 to 2004.During his presidency, he started the partnership between Converge World Wide and Estonian churches.He also served as President of European Baptist Federation from 2005 to 2007.Currently, he is the pastor of Allika Baptist Church in Tallinn and a member of the Board of Elders of the UFEBC of Estonia. Healri is a true leader of the faith in Estonia!

Mirjam was born and raised in Tallinn, Estonia. She grew up in a pastor’s family with an older sister and brother. After high school, she went on to study marketing and advertising and graduated from University Nord in Tallinn in 2008. Before Nordic-Baltic she worked in a marketing and advertising agency as a project manager. Bringing her marketing background with her, she has been a vital member of the Nordic-Baltic team since June of 2010. Currently she lives in Viims, a suburb of Tallinn with her seven year old daughter.

Whitney is a graduate from Wheaton College in Illinois and holds a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. Born and raised in California, she has greatly enjoyed the opportunity to see the world through the ministry of Nordic-Baltic Regional Partnership. Whitney splits her time between Nordic-Baltic and the local junior high school, where she is a substitute teacher and intervention teacher/counselor. She has been working as the Ministry Coordinator since September 2010 and has enjoyed every minute.


Hal Lentz

Born and raised in Southern California, Hal Lentz came to Christ during the Jesus Movement of the early 1970’s. He attended Santa Ana Community College where he earned his Associates degree and then Pacific Christian College in Fullerton, California where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries. He then earned his Master of Arts Degree in Church Dynamics and Pastoral Counseling. For eighteen years he served youth and senior pastors with churches in California and Oregon. In 1994 Hal entered the ministry of Development, championing the causes of church planting, leadership development, global missions and compassion ministries and was one of the founding leaders of the Generous Church Summits first held in Atlanta, Georgia. Over the past 18 years he has raised ministry partners and developed financial resources for the Conservative Baptists of Southern California as Development Director, Converge Worldwide/Baptist General Conference as Assistant to the President, and the Midwest Baptist Conference/Converge MidAmerica as Vice-president of Development. Currently Hal is Lead Pastor of Development at Whittier Area Community Church and gives leadership to the Whittier Area Community Church Foundation, serving as President. Hal is also the Associate Director of Nordic-Baltic Regional Partners, a ministry serving our brothers and sisters in the Nordic-Baltic region.
